Lead Ground & Underground Engineer

About the role

Aurecon is seeking a Lead Ground & Underground Engineer to join its Transport Land and Water business in Bangkok. You will work on a wide range of infrastructure projects, from rural access roads to complex freeways, toll roads, and water security systems, providing technical leadership in geotechnical and tunnelling disciplines.

Key responsibilities

• Grow and lead the geotechnical and tunnelling team.
• Collaborate with ground engineering and tunnel works to deliver projects.
• Develop business proposals for local and regional tunnel projects.
• Design and analyse underground structures, foundations, slopes, seismic effects, and mass concrete.
• Lead project and design management for ground engineering and tunnel works.
• Prepare plans, technical specifications, and present tunnelling topics to clients and stakeholders.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil, Structural, or Geotechnical Engineering.
• Professional Engineer licence recognised by the Council of Engineers, Thailand (or equivalent).
• Chartered status preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to mentor and coach staff.
