OpenShift & Kubernetes Platform Engineer (Red Hat, VMware, DevOps & Hybrid Cloud)

About the role

Kyndryl is hiring a System Administrator in Bangkok to manage, optimize and secure enterprise platforms that power its clients' business operations. The role covers highly available, scalable and secure infrastructure, including OpenShift, virtualization, cloud and containerized environments, with troubleshooting, application deployments, automation and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and maintain Red Hat OpenShift clusters, monitoring health with Prometheus and Grafana, and administering nodes, networking, storage, services, routes, operators and persistent volumes.
• Install, configure, upgrade and patch the platform, and implement security, compliance and operational standards.
• Troubleshoot pod failures, network and storage issues and performance bottlenecks, and support developers and application teams.
• Manage the lifecycle of OpenShift Operators.
• Support OpenShift deployments integrated with VMware ESXi and HCI, and administer RHEL and CoreOS nodes.
• Set up logging and monitoring with Elasticsearch, Kibana, Fluentd, Kafka, Prometheus and Grafana, including alerting and dashboards.
• Build automation scripts and IaC with Ansible, Terraform or similar, and support CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins, GitOps and OpenShift Pipelines.
• Integrate with Git repositories and promote DevOps best practices.

Required profile

• Strong experience in Microsoft Windows Server 2016/2019 administration and support.
• Proven expertise in VMware ESXi administration and virtualization.
• Hands-on Kubernetes and containerized application experience, and public/private cloud migration.
• Preferred: OpenShift administration, IaC (Terraform, Ansible), vulnerability management, AD/ADFS support, and experience in AWS, Azure or hybrid environments.
