Procurement Manager

About the role

Thai AirAsia is hiring a full-time Procurement Manager based at Don Mueang International Airport, Bangkok. The role executes the sourcing strategy, manages end-to-end procurement processes and leads a team of buyers or category specialists, focusing on optimising category spend, mitigating supply chain risks, negotiating high-value contracts and driving cost efficiency while complying with corporate policy and governance.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure timely, accurate reporting on category spend, strategic plans, project status and performance against KPIs.
• Partner with senior management to define the procurement agenda and secure the resources needed.
• Plan and run strategic sourcing projects that deliver savings, cash-flow improvement, risk management and compliance.
• Build a reliable supply base, evaluate suppliers and manage supply risks and business continuity.
• Make procurement spend transparent, analyse data and share strategic insights with the business.
• Negotiate and manage contracts, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and company policy, and supervise the team on contracts.
• Lead productivity and innovation projects with other functions and develop supplier partnerships, including digital systems.
• Manage direct reports, develop their talent and provide training and career support.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Procurement, Finance or a related field (MBA preferred).
• 8-10+ years of strategic sourcing and team leadership experience; airline, travel or hospitality background is advantageous.
• Strong commercial acumen, negotiation skills and proven track record in contracting, e-sourcing, cost saving, risk mitigation and supplier performance.
• Detailed, analytical, with strong numerical literacy and excellent written and spoken English.
