Production Engineer

About the role

HARMAN is looking for a Production Engineer in Chonburi, Thailand. The role coordinates and optimizes manufacturing processes so that production lines meet their SQDC targets (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost) through higher productivity, less waste and smooth, safe and quality-compliant operations.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure production activities comply with safety regulations and company policies, and identify hazards and implement corrective and preventive measures.
• Analyze production performance to improve productivity and reduce downtime, and optimize workflows to hit SQDC targets.
• Prepare reports on performance, deviations and improvement actions, and support internal and external audits (e.g. ISO, IATF 16949, customer audits).
• Follow up on corrective actions after audits and implement TPM practices with cross-functional teams.
• Work with the quality team to reduce defects, monitor product quality and manage CAPA, including 8D reports.
• Analyze stock variance and scrap data, control scrap rates and costs, and drive cost-reduction initiatives.
• Take part in continuous improvement and innovation initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Electronics Engineering or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience as a Production Engineer, Process Engineer or Process Improvement specialist, with a proven record of improvement projects.
• Good command of spoken and written English; willingness to work in Laem Chabang, Chonburi.
• Positive attitude, able to work under pressure.

Required skills

• Proficiency in analytical methods such as Fishbone diagrams, Why-Why analysis and 8D.
• Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) for summarizing large data sets.
• Experience implementing 5S, Kaizen, Suggestion Systems or Six Sigma projects.
• Preferred: SAP experience, automotive/electronics/speaker industry experience, and Power Platform (Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate).
