Programme Management Office (PRMO) Associate – Finance

About the role

The PRMO Associate (Finance) provides critical financial support to the Asia Regional Health Cluster, ensuring efficient resource management and compliance with UNOPS regulations. Working under supervision, the incumbent collaborates with programme and partner teams to manage budgets, monitor performance, and deliver accurate financial reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and monitor project budgets in line with donor requirements and UNOPS financial rules.
• Set up new projects in the financial system, assign budget coding, and upload approved budgets.
• Monitor financial exception reports, investigate anomalies, and ensure data quality of the General Ledger, purchase orders and receipts.
• Produce periodic and ad‑hoc financial reports for donors and partners, and consolidate partner cash reports.
• Assist with financial closure of completed projects and ensure timely disbursement payments to partners.
• Provide accounting and administrative support, including payroll reconciliations and documentation management.

Required profile

• Secondary school plus 6 years relevant experience, or university degree in finance/accounting/business administration with at least 2 years relevant experience.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in finance, accounting or related fields, preferably within UN or international organisations.
• Knowledge of UNOPS financial rules and experience with ERP or other financial management systems is an asset.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Experience using ERP financial systems or other electronic financial management tools.
