Senior Finance Manager – Budget and Planning

About the role

The Senior Finance Manager will support the Finance and Program teams in Bangkok/Mae Sot, overseeing data compilation and consolidation for budget preparation, financial reporting and staff training. Reporting to the Senior Finance Coordinator, the role involves managing grant and operating budgets, treasury functions and occasional travel to field offices.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, analyse and maintain operating budget data for the Thailand country office, ensuring timely monitoring and compliance with donor requirements.
• Consolidate grant pipeline information, produce monthly budget‑versus‑actual reports and draft donor financial reports for review and submission.
• Coordinate with program staff to develop and revise grant budgets, oversee treasury management and ensure statutory reporting to Thai ministries.
• Provide training to program and operational teams on budgeting templates and reporting tools.
• Support internal and external audits, review payment submissions and manage data uploads into the Integra and Microsoft Dynamics 365 systems.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Commerce, Computer Science or Statistics.
• Minimum three years of experience in financial data management, budgeting and use of ERP/accounting software.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills and ability to work in a complex, loosely structured environment.
• Proven ability to prioritize multiple tasks, meet deadlines and support cross‑functional teams.

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel (including formulas, pivot tables and data modelling).
• Power Query and Power BI for data analysis and dashboard creation.
• Experience with ERP systems and accounting packages such as Integra and Microsoft Dynamics 365.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
• Data analytics and budgeting software proficiency.
