Safety Specialist

About the role

The Country Safety Specialist is responsible for executing frontline and country safety plans, driving a strong safety culture and continuous improvement, and ensuring the effective implementation of the KONE Way for Safety.

Key responsibilities

• Support the implementation, maintenance and improvement of KONE’s safety and health management system.
• Cultivate an understanding and caring safety culture, acting as a role model for all employees.
• Compile, maintain and improve safety documentation together with frontline and country safety teams.
• Participate actively in the country safety committee and other safety forums.
• Provide professional advice on safety and health matters to the country operation.
• Conduct practical, site‑relevant safety risk assessments and monitor high‑risk activities.
• Collect, measure and report leading and lagging safety and health data.
• Perform regular safety and health audits, investigate incidents and manage corrective actions.
• Support the development, review and exercise of crisis and emergency response plans.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety or a related discipline.
• 5–8 years of experience in safety roles.
• Excellent communication skills in Thai; English is an asset.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and coach.
• Experience in the manufacturing or construction industry is preferred.
