Senior ESIA Project Manager - Hydropower

About the role

AFRY's Hydropower Sustainability team is looking for a Senior ESIA Project Manager in Bangkok. The role leads an interdisciplinary team on environmental and social impact assessments for hydropower facilities, covering both due diligence and lender advisory services, and supports clients in implementing E&S mitigation and offset measures.

Key responsibilities

• Act as project manager for environmental and social impact assessments (ESIAs) for hydropower facilities, leading an interdisciplinary project team
• Manage environmental and social due diligence services and lenders' environmental and social advisory services for hydropower projects
• Prepare E&S reports, terms of reference (TORs) and presentations
• Prepare proposals for ESIAs and E&S works related to hydropower facilities
• Support the preparation of contracts for the client and for subconsultants, including taking part in contract negotiations

Required profile

• At least 10 years of experience as a project manager for ESIAs for hydropower or other large infrastructure projects compliant with international standards such as IFC, ADB, AfDB, EBRD, KfW, Equator Principles and HSS
• Masters degree or PhD in Environmental Engineering or similar, with an excellent academic record
• Excellent English; additional languages, especially French, are an advantage
