Senior Manager, Internal Audit

About the role

Thai AirAsia is hiring a Senior Manager, Internal Audit in Don Mueang, Bangkok. The role manages and executes complex internal audits, reviews and consulting engagements, strengthens governance, risk management controls and internal control systems, leads audit teams, mentors staff and reports findings to senior management and the Audit Committee. It is a full-time position.

Key responsibilities

• Lead planning, scoping and execution of risk-based financial, operational, compliance and IT audits, and oversee risk assessments, audit programs and testing procedures.
• Direct fieldwork, review workpapers and ensure audits finish on time and within budget; recommend corrective actions and track remediation.
• Prepare clear audit reports for senior management and the Audit Committee, advise business units on controls and risks, and coordinate with external auditors.
• Manage, mentor and coach audit staff, ensure adherence to IIA standards, allocate resources by risk and skill, and maintain expertise in SOX, GDPR and other regulations.
• Align with the Group Internal Audit framework, report functionally to the Head of Group Internal Audit, support group-wide governance and escalate significant findings and risks to the Group.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related field.
• 7+ years of progressive experience in internal audit, public accounting or a related risk/compliance function, including at least 3 years in a management or leadership role.
• Relevant professional certification such as CIA, CPA or CISA.
• Proven team leadership, strong communication, and analytical skills to assess controls and root causes.

Required skills

• Internal control frameworks (e.g. COSO), risk assessment and GAAP/IFRS.
• Knowledge of SOX, GDPR and industry-specific compliance.
