Site Safety Specialist

About the role

Michelin Asia Pacific (Thailand) is looking for a Site Safety Specialist to join its Safety Team. The team works with employees, managers and operational teams to prevent workplace risks, ensure regulatory compliance and strengthen safety practices across the site. The role supports the implementation of legal requirements, Michelin safety standards and the site's HSE Management System.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor changes in occupational safety regulations and Michelin requirements, and conduct compliance gap assessments
• Carry out workplace risk assessments and develop action plans to eliminate or control priority risks
• Support safety requirements for new projects, equipment installation, modifications and commissioning
• Investigate accidents and near misses, perform root cause analysis and follow up on corrective and preventive actions
• Conduct workplace safety inspections and make sure identified actions are implemented
• Manage safety requirements for contractors, visitors and other external personnel
• Help managers and operational teams implement shopfloor safety programs
• Coordinate safety training, awareness activities and competency development
• Maintain accurate safety indicators, documentation and regulatory reporting

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) or a related field
• 0-3 years of experience in occupational safety in an industrial or manufacturing environment; new graduates with relevant safety internship experience are welcome
• Understanding of Thai occupational safety regulations and basic international safety standards
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with stakeholders
• Good communication in both Thai and English (preferred)
• Preferred: internship or work experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
