Teacher Assistant (Primary)

About the role

We are looking for a dedicated Teacher Assistant to support classroom teachers at Tara Pattana International School. The role involves assisting with learning and teaching activities, promoting inclusion, and helping maintain a safe and stimulating environment for all students.

Key responsibilities

• Support individual students or small groups as directed by the teacher, using differentiated learning strategies.
• Assist with classroom management, behaviour support and implementation of the school’s behaviour policy.
• Prepare learning spaces, resources and displays of student work.
• Observe and report on student performance to the class teacher.
• Supervise the class temporarily when the teacher is unavailable, including leading lessons as needed.
• Contribute to assessment and planning by monitoring and recording student progress.
• Communicate with staff, parents and external professionals regarding student needs and progress.
• Promote student safety during field trips, bus duties and daily classroom activities.

Required profile

• Commitment to safeguarding and child protection policies.
• Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, learning support staff and external professionals.
• Effective communication skills with students, staff and parents.
• Flexibility to undertake additional duties such as bus supervision and extracurricular support.
