Technician I, Failure Analysis

About the role

Analog Devices, a global semiconductor company, is hiring a Technician I, Failure Analysis in Chon Buri. The technician performs detailed failure analysis on semiconductor devices from internal and external customers, works with FA engineers and supports the lab's equipment and inventory.

Key responsibilities

• Perform detailed failure analysis on semiconductor devices within ADI's cycle time and quality commitments.
• Work daily on Automated Test Equipment (ATE) and FA equipment.
• Collect and analyze data together with FA engineers.
• Create reports in PowerPoint and MS Word and answer e-mail inquiries when needed.
• Use the FA database system to receive and complete FA cases.
• Maintain lab equipment for calibration and preventive maintenance, and control consumable inventory.
• Follow safety standards, quality and environmental policies, and comply with legal regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• High diploma in electronics or electrical engineering.
• More than 3 years of experience in failure analysis, or as a production/test technician in a manufacturing setting (electronics assembly and test preferred).
• Able to work with chemicals safely and to work night and weekend shifts and overtime when needed.
• Basic PC skills (MS Windows and MS Office) and English communication; interpreting technical documents and working with global teams is a plus.

Required skills

• Failure analysis lab equipment: optical microscopes, solder/desoldering tools, decapsulation, SAM inspection, X-ray inspection, curve tracer, fault isolation tools (PEM, OBIRCH), SEM/EDX, cross-section preparation.
• ATE testers and handlers.
