Transportation Assistant Manager

About the role

The Transportation Assistant Manager is responsible for day-to-day distribution service at the Thailand Operations Complex (TOC), covering product deliveries, the fleet and the operation of a distribution center. Reporting to the Logistics Manager, the role supervises a team of delivery drivers and delivery assistants and a Distribution Planning team, coordinating with Warehouse Operations and driving productivity and KPIs such as OTIF, shipping accuracy and zero misloads.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day distribution service, including product deliveries, fleet and the operation of the TOC and 3PLs
• Develop personnel and deliver exceptional customer service to internal and external customers
• Appraise performance, reward and discipline employees, resolve problems and address staff needs
• Monitor daily service levels and productivity through daily reports and delivery tracking tools
• Maintain the fleet of trucks and equipment and enforce safety policies and procedures
• Investigate accidents to find root causes and improve safety operations
• Work with Warehouse, Customer Service, Procurement, Planning and Operations to reduce costs and carbon footprint
• Support customer and supplier complaints and suggest corrective and preventive actions
• Ensure activities follow the Integrated Management System (IMS) and coach team members for continuous improvement

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree (or above) in Logistics, Engineering or a related field
• 10+ years of team management or supervision experience in logistics, transportation or distribution, with a proven record of logistics operations improvement projects
• Transport Safety Manager (TSM) certificate required; a professional certificate in logistics/supply chain management is a plus
• Good communication in English and Thai (written and spoken)
