Youth Employability Technical Expert

About the role

Save the Children Thailand (SCT) is looking for a Youth Employability Technical Expert (Technical Advisor) in Bangkok, working part-time (8-12 days per month) on a 12-month national contract, renewable based on performance and funding. The role provides technical leadership across youth employment programming for NEET youth and youth in TVET/vocational pathways, embedding child participation, accountability, disability and gender inclusion throughout the project cycle. It connects two concurrent donor grants (UNIQLO, 80%; Accenture, 20%) and builds partnerships with private sector employers, government institutions and civil society organizations.

Key responsibilities

• Give technical guidance across four youth groups, supporting staff working with youth with disabilities, NEET youth and TVET pathway youth, using labour market assessments and needs analyses
• Adapt the Life Skills for Success / Skills to Succeed modules to each cohort and setting, including disability-accessible formats and migrant-sensitive content
• Build partnerships with private sector employers, government institutions and disability/civil society organizations
• Design and deliver workshops and Training of Trainers sessions for SCT staff and partners, and ensure MEAL data is disaggregated by cohort
• Maintain technical coherence across the three grants, support high-quality donor reporting, and coordinate annual, quarterly and monthly planning
• Help develop funding strategies and proposals, and represent SCT externally, co-presenting findings to government and TVET partners
• Document and share lessons learned and feed evidence of impact into the wider youth employability portfolio

Required profile

• Senior, multi-disciplinary technical advisor able to lead across NEET and TVET programming
• Reports to the Director of Strategy, Program Quality and Impact, with a dotted line to the Director of Program
• Commitment to work in an international agency promoting diversity, equity and inclusion
