Cargo Supervisor - Bangkok

About the role

Emirates SkyCargo is looking for a Cargo Supervisor in Bangkok. The role provides customers with a consistent, high-quality service, guides and directs the team to run daily operations efficiently and ensures adherence to EK SkyCargo procedures. It works closely with GHA and third-party contractors.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, organise and co-ordinate operational activities, delegate responsibilities and control subordinate staff and GHA/third-party contractors
• Monitor GHA's service against EK standards and resolve issues such as delays, disruptions, cargo mishandling and transfer cargo
• Review and compile cargo documentation for uplifted flights in line with local regulations and company policy
• Complete post-flight activities accurately, including dispatch of messages, forwarding documents and station file
• Investigate and respond to queries, complaints and claims from internal and external customers
• Maintain Cargo Systems, including rate filing and revenue accounting
• Motivate, train and give feedback to staff; handle administration such as rostering, performance appraisals and stationery reordering
• Act as senior in charge when no manager or officer is on duty

Required profile

• GCSE (or equivalent) with at least 6 years in cargo operations, including 4 years leading a team
• OR A-Level (or equivalent) with at least 4 years in cargo operations, including 2 years as a cargo agent with team-leading experience
• Fluency in English and the local language is essential
• Right to live and work in Thailand

Required skills

• Dangerous Goods regulations knowledge and a current or former DG certificate
• Weight & balance procedures and Live Animal Regulations
• PC skills including Microsoft Word, Excel and e-mail
• Analytical and numeracy skills
