Customs Governance Specialist – Contract

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Customs Governance Specialist to join our team on a contract basis. You will be the local expert on Thai customs regulations, ensuring that Bosch’s operations in Thailand remain fully compliant while supporting smooth trade processes.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and analyse changes in Thai customs laws, tariff classification rules and related regulations.
• Implement Bosch’s customs governance framework across all Thai legal entities.
• Serve as the primary liaison with Thai Customs authorities, handling classification disputes, audits and post‑clearance reviews.
• Lead resolution of HS‑code classification discrepancies and prepare technical justifications.
• Drive consistency of HS classification across subsidiaries (e.g., RBTA/Y, RBTH, BSH, BHC).
• Coordinate customs ruling applications and prepare required documentation.
• Identify and mitigate customs compliance risks, supporting remediation and historical HS‑code clean‑up.
• Support end‑to‑end governance of customs valuation adjustments.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of Thai customs legislation and tariff classification.
• Experience acting as a customs compliance point of contact with authorities.
• Ability to work cross‑functionally with engineering, operations and regional teams.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.

Required skills

• In‑depth understanding of HS‑code classification and customs valuation.
• Familiarity with customs audit processes and rulings.
