Engineering Department Manager

About the role

The Engineering Department Manager will lead the engineering and structural design activities for the company, ensuring that all designs meet safety, quality, and regulatory standards. This role involves close collaboration with project teams to provide engineering solutions and oversee site inspections.

Key responsibilities

• Review, analyze, and evaluate structural designs, providing recommendations before construction.
• Design, calculate, and analyze reinforced concrete and steel structures according to project requirements and standards.
• Develop practical engineering solutions for site conditions and temporary works.
• Prepare and review method statements for structural works, ensuring alignment with design and site conditions.
• Plan and design site temporary works to support construction activities.
• Conduct structural inspections, analyze issues, and advise corrective actions.
• Lead, assign, supervise, and monitor the engineering and design teams, controlling quality and timelines.
• Present design concepts, calculations, and engineering solutions to stakeholders.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (Thailand – Senior/Ordinary Level Civil Engineering License or Samam Engineer).
• Minimum 15 years of experience in civil engineering, construction, or project management.
• At least 5 years of management experience leading an engineering/design team.
