Engineering Manager (Security)

About the role

JCI is looking for an Engineering Manager (Security) who will support system design, configuration, integration, testing, troubleshooting and commissioning across project delivery. The role works closely with project managers, technical managers, construction teams, commissioning engineers, clients and third-party vendors to deliver security solutions to specification, with a strong focus on quality and safety.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and review system architecture, security designs, device schedules and technical specifications.
• Prepare technical submissions and documentation such as shop drawings, as-built drawings, operation manuals, maintenance documents and programming matrices.
• Ensure correct specification and material ordering, and help define project scope and specifications.
• Monitor work progress with customers and SM/PM, and support expedited installation.
• Inspect, set up, test and commission electronic security systems including access control, CCTV, intrusion alarms, intercoms/public address and electronic locks.
• Support FAT, SAT, pre-commissioning and troubleshooting, and resolve configuration, software, integration and technical issues.
• Follow company health and safety policies and provide proactive customer relations and onsite support.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Computer Science, Instrumentation or Industrial Engineering.
• At least 5 years of experience installing, configuring or servicing Lenel OnGuard, CCURE 9000, HID, AMAG, BVMS, Interlogix, PIDS, DSC or Kantech.
• Experience with enterprise security platforms such as Software House, LenelS2, Gallagher, Genetec, Milestone, Senstar and Traka.
• Civil and electrical construction experience; strong English; willingness to travel domestically and internationally.

Required skills

• Computer literacy and networking knowledge (MS Windows, Linux, Office, LAN, fiber optics).
• Nice to have: certification in Lenel OnGuard, CCURE 9000, AMAG or BVMS, and AutoCAD or Revu BlueBeam.
