Gymnastics Coach – BCIS Sport

About the role

The BCIS Sport Coach (Gymnastics) will inspire and guide students in gymnastics, fostering enjoyment and achievement. Working within the school’s sport academies and extracurricular activities, the coach will uphold the BCIS mission, vision and values while ensuring a safe and inclusive learning environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, deliver and evaluate gymnastics programmes for designated students, sport academies and school teams.
• Collaborate with the Director of Sport and fellow coaches to design schemes of work that meet individual learner needs.
• Promote health, safety and safeguarding standards, reporting any hazards or concerns promptly.
• Communicate regularly with homeroom teachers, ECA coordinators and parents to support student progress.
• Participate in extra‑curricular events, supervise students as required and act as a positive role model.

Required profile

• Commitment to BCIS values, safeguarding policies and the school’s behaviour and health‑and‑safety procedures.
• Ability to work collaboratively with sport staff, teachers and parents, and to cover for absent colleagues when needed.
• Willingness to engage in continuous professional development and contribute to school improvement initiatives.
