HR Associate

About the role

BowerGroupAsia, Inc. (BGA) is a strategic affairs and public policy firm operating across the Indo‑Pacific and Africa. The HR Associate will support BGA’s Human Resources, Talent and Training team in Bangkok, reporting to the Director of Human Resources.

Key responsibilities

• Support in‑processing and out‑processing of team members, including offer letters, documentation collection and background checks.
• Manage and track distribution of IT equipment for Asia‑based employees, coordinating with IT and operations teams.
• Review employee expense reimbursements and travel requests using the company’s expense management software.
• Assist in preparing HR orientation materials, policies and payroll tasks such as approving timesheets for non‑exempt staff.
• Support recruitment processes for roles throughout Asia and maintain employee personnel files in HR systems.
• Provide general administrative support to the HR team and perform other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Highly motivated self‑starter with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to manage sensitive, confidential situations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in fluent English; proficiency in an Asian language is a strong plus.
• Detail‑oriented, organized and able to handle multiple work streams while meeting deadlines.
• Demonstrated interest in human resources with 1‑5 years of relevant experience.
• Ability to interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS365.
• Familiarity with Salesforce.
• Experience using BambooHR.
• Experience with Tallie expense management software.
