Knowledge Management Associate, Cities and Climate Change

About the role

The Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP) is seeking a Knowledge Management Associate to support its Urban-Act initiative on cities and climate change. The role focuses on producing, designing, and disseminating knowledge products that inform policy and practice across the region.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and design 2‑3 policy briefs and thematic reports, including data visualisations, infographics and summary snapshots.
• Manage content updates on the Urban SDG Knowledge Platform, ensuring timely upload of reports, videos and briefs.
• Create quarterly communication materials for the Urban‑Act Community of Practice and support virtual and in‑person meetings.
• Coordinate logistics, speaker outreach and promotion for a series of 4+2 webinars, and produce summary flyers and an annual report.
• Assist with project monitoring and evaluation by collecting data, preparing outcome snapshots and contributing to quarterly/annual progress reports.
• Provide support for inter‑governmental meetings and side events as needed.

Required profile

• Relevant experience in knowledge management, communications or urban development.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work with multiple stakeholders.
• Excellent written communication skills in English.
