Lead Auditor – Forest & Palm Oil

About the role

The Forest & Palm Oil Auditor conducts comprehensive on‑site audits of forest management practices and palm‑oil production facilities to ensure compliance with international sustainability standards and certification requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct on‑site audits of forest operations and palm‑oil plantations in line with FSC, RSPO, ISO 14001 and other standards.
• Verify compliance with environmental regulations, labor standards and sustainability requirements, documenting evidence through observations, interviews and record reviews.
• Prepare detailed audit reports, record non‑conformances and provide recommendations to clients.
• Communicate audit objectives and findings to clients, hold exit meetings and support corrective‑action planning.
• Maintain audit files, follow health‑safety procedures and uphold Bureau Veritas quality standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Forestry, Agriculture, Environmental Science or a related field.
• Valid FSC or RSPO Auditor certification; ISO 14001 Lead Auditor certification preferred.
• Minimum three years of experience in forest management, palm‑oil operations or sustainability auditing.
• Demonstrated field experience in tropical forest or plantation environments.
• Strong knowledge of international sustainability standards (FSC, RSPO, PEFC) and environmental regulations.
