Lead Engineer - Travel FX App

About the role

We are seeking a Lead Engineer to own the technical design and delivery of our Travel FX application. This hands‑on leadership role bridges architecture and implementation, driving major initiatives from concept to production.

Key responsibilities

• Design and execute scalable, reliable systems across backend, frontend, APIs, databases and cloud infrastructure.
• Write, review and debug code, prototype solutions, and resolve production incidents.
• Make architecture decisions balancing speed, scalability, reliability and maintainability.
• Mentor engineers, raise the engineering bar and improve tooling and automation.
• Collaborate with product, design and AI teams to ship high‑quality features quickly.

Required profile

• Strong software engineering background with proven experience shipping production systems.
• Demonstrated technical leadership on large‑scale projects.
• Ability to explain complex technical decisions and influence cross‑functional teams.
• Comfortable working in a fast‑moving, ambiguous, distributed environment.
