Lead Mechanical Engineer (Buildings/Data Center)

About the role

Aurecon is seeking a Lead Mechanical Engineer to join its Buildings business in Bangkok. You will drive the delivery of complex building and data‑center projects, acting as the primary technical liaison for clients and leading multidisciplinary design teams.

Key responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end project delivery from concept design through construction and final review.
• Serve as the day‑to‑day point of contact for client teams.
• Lead and coordinate large, multidisciplinary design teams covering mechanical, electrical, civil, structural, security, architectural and ICT disciplines.
• Produce and review design documentation, including detailed drawings, specifications, calculations, BIM models and design reports.
• Chair internal and external design meetings and manage project budgets, schedules, quality assurance and client feedback.
• Support workload management, resource forecasting and proposal preparation.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant standards and maintain strong client relationships to identify business opportunities.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in mechanical engineering for buildings and data‑centers.
• Proven leadership of large, multidisciplinary design teams.
• Strong client‑facing skills and ability to manage project budgets and schedules.
• Excellent understanding of construction and engineering project management principles.
