MEAL Manager – Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability & Learning

About the role

Reporting directly to the MEAL Coordinator, the MEAL Manager will strengthen monitoring, evaluation, accountability and learning (MEAL) systems to foster client learning and accountability. The role supports IRC’s global measurement ambitions, including Strategy 100 and IMPACT program quality standards, and contributes to the Country Strategic Action Plan. Based in Mae Sot, the position works across multiple sectors and locations along the Thailand‑Myanmar border.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design, implementation and continuous improvement of MEAL processes, logical frameworks, digital data collection tools and beneficiary tracking systems.
• Oversee data management, ensuring reliable collection, secure storage, quality checks, audits and timely data flow for reporting and decision‑making.
• Develop and maintain client feedback mechanisms, analyse complaints and feedback trends, and present findings to inform program adaptations.
• Produce high‑quality reports, dashboards and visualisations for internal learning, donor reporting and external communication.

Required profile

• University degree in statistics, data management, public health, development economics or a related field (or equivalent technical degree with experience).
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning or information management, preferably in humanitarian or development contexts.
• Willingness to travel to field sites along the Thailand‑Myanmar border (approximately 30% of time).
• Fluency in English required; proficiency in Karen and/or Burmese strongly preferred.
