Medical Insurance & Assistance Doctor

About the role

We are looking for a qualified Doctor to join our team in Bangkok, focusing on International Private Medical Insurance (IPMI) case management and medical assistance services. The role involves five‑day work weeks, including weekend and night on‑call shifts.

Key responsibilities

• Act as case manager for IPMI business, ensuring treatment plans follow evidence‑based medicine and challenging providers when necessary.
• Communicate coverage decisions to members or brokers and provide guidance on alternative treatments and second opinions.
• Identify and address over‑utilisation, potential fraud, and cost‑containment opportunities.
• Provide medical assessments for April Assistance cases, recommend travel‑related medical actions and arrange referrals within Thailand.
• Prepare concise case summaries, recommend high‑quality providers, and contribute to medical audits of the APRIL network.

Required profile

• Medical degree with a valid license to practice.
• Strong clinical skills and ability to make informed medical decisions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Proficiency in English (both verbal and written); additional languages are a plus.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.
