Procurement Senior Associate

About the role

The Procurement Senior Associate supports the Asia Regional Health Cluster’s programmes by delivering reliable procurement and contract administration services. Working from the Bangkok office, the role ensures smooth operations, compliance with UNOPS policies, and effective collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Execute procurement steps, embed sustainability, and ensure complete submissions to Contract and Property Committees.
• Prepare and process Purchase Orders, Contracts, Long‑Term Agreements and amendments, maintaining accurate documentation.
• Conduct market research using the UN Global Market Place and external sources to identify supply options.
• Maintain and update the local supplier database and procurement records.
• Generate status reports and provide audit‑ready documentation.
• Collaborate with project managers to develop procurement plans, monitor progress, and advise on sourcing strategies.
• Review requisitions and propose appropriate procurement modes and timelines.

Required profile

• Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong client‑focused, results‑oriented mindset.
• Excellent understanding of UNOPS procurement rules, regulations and policies.
• Effective communication and liaison skills with programme officers, technical advisors and portfolio managers.
