About the role

The Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP) is seeking a Project Assistant to support the Asia‑Pacific Transport Network (APTN) platform. Working under the Transport Connectivity and Logistics Section Chief, you will help ensure the platform’s technical and substantive content meets the needs of policy makers across the region.

Key responsibilities

  • Review the technical data and user interface of the APTN platform.
  • Collect, organise, and analyse transport‑related data for reports.
  • Provide logistical support for virtual sub‑regional consultations.
  • Assist in testing updated APTN tools and new platform features.
  • Support ad‑hoc tasks assigned by the Section Chief.

Required profile

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
  • Minimum six months experience in transport or sustainable development.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English.
