Regional Leader – East Asia

About the role

The Regional Leader, East Asia will direct World Vision’s operations across eight countries, ensuring the mission to support vulnerable children is delivered effectively. Based in Bangkok or another registered East Asian location, you will provide strategic oversight, manage resources, and represent the organization to key partners and stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership to national offices and regional initiatives in line with World Vision’s vision, mission, and global strategy.
• Lead implementation of the Partnership Strategy, fostering unity and a culture of twin‑citizenship across all offices.
• Adjust regional and national structures to optimise impact and operational efficiency.
• Oversee emergency response at Levels II and III in coordination with the Global Disaster Management unit.
• Serve as spokesperson at regional forums and engage with ASEAN committees, UN agencies, and multilateral partners.
• Represent the region in senior management groups, boards, and advisory councils.
• Ensure financial stewardship, risk management, and compliance with governance requirements.

Required profile

• Extensive senior leadership experience managing multi‑country operations, preferably in the humanitarian or development sector.
• Proven ability to lead strategic planning, financial resource management, and risk mitigation.
• Strong track record of external engagement with governments, NGOs, and international bodies.
• Excellent communication and representation skills, with a commitment to World Vision’s Christian values.
