Senior Consultant - CCS/CCUS

About the role

AFRY, a global power-sector consulting and engineering company, is hiring a Senior Consultant for CCS/CCUS in Bangkok. The consultant advises clients, supports feasibility and FEED studies and designs infrastructure for carbon capture and storage, contributing to decarbonisation strategies in power, industry and energy transition.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and support technical studies for CO2 liquefaction terminals, storage systems, ship-loading facilities and offshore injection sites.
• Advise on CCS/CCUS project development from early screening to FEED.
• Evaluate CO2 transport solutions, including pipelines and marine shipping.
• Review and specify equipment such as compressors, liquefaction systems, intermediate tanks and injection well components.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in process, mechanical, marine and environmental domains.
• Prepare client reports, presentations and technical memos, and take part in project meetings and stakeholder consultations.
• Contribute to business development and proposal preparation for CCUS projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related discipline.
• 7-15 years of experience in CO2 or cryogenic infrastructure.
• Hands-on experience in liquefaction, compression and CO2 marine handling systems.
• Understanding of the CCUS project lifecycle, permitting and safety/regulatory requirements.
• Offshore CO2 injection experience preferred but not mandatory.
• Ability to work in multidisciplinary, multicultural project environments.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; English is mandatory.
