Senior GIS Officer

About the role

ACCIONA Energía is expanding its renewable energy portfolio in Southeast Asia and seeks a Senior GIS Officer to lead spatial data infrastructure and mapping activities for development projects in Thailand. The role bridges management and field operations, ensuring high‑quality GIS data and delivering analytical insights for executive decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and mentor GIS Officers based in Amnat Charoen, assigning tasks, tracking progress, and providing technical guidance on land surveys, data gathering, and site verification.
• Verify the accuracy and quality of all spatial data, georeferenced maps, and land‑status updates before finalizing the weekly Master List database.
• Consolidate field data to produce high‑level GIS reports, thematic maps, and spatial analyses for management and project developers.
• Act as the central point of contact for the Development department, translating complex spatial information into actionable insights.

Required profile

• Proven experience in GIS and spatial data management, preferably in the renewable energy or infrastructure sector.
• Strong leadership skills with a track record of supervising junior GIS staff.
• Ability to communicate technical information clearly to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
• Detail‑oriented mindset with a focus on data accuracy and timely delivery.
