Vice President, Business Development

About the role

Mastercard is seeking a Vice President of Business Development to lead its growth initiatives in Thailand. The role will shape and execute the country’s strategy across financial institutions and non‑financial ecosystem partners, driving revenue, market share, and innovation in digital payments.

Key responsibilities

• Define and implement Thailand’s business development strategy aligned with regional and global priorities.
• Drive revenue, volume, and market‑share growth across issuing, acceptance, commercial solutions, and digital payment offerings.
• Identify and unlock opportunities with banks, fintechs, retailers, airlines, telcos, e‑commerce platforms, PSPs, and emerging digital players.
• Lead market sensing to anticipate ecosystem shifts such as real‑time payments, open banking, and embedded finance.
• Serve as senior point of contact for priority partners and build C‑suite relationships.
• Lead commercial negotiations, renewals, and multi‑product deal structuring.
• Expand adoption of Mastercard solutions including digital issuance, tokenization, cybersecurity, loyalty, data & analytics, and new payment flows.
• Partner with product, cyber, marketing, and delivery teams to deliver integrated solutions.
• Manage cross‑functional account teams and ensure disciplined pipeline management.
• Represent Mastercard at industry events and maintain compliance with risk and security standards.

Required profile

• 15+ years of experience in payments, banking, digital commerce, fintech, consulting, or related fields.
• Proven ability to design and execute market‑shaping business development strategies.
• Strong commercial acumen and experience influencing senior stakeholders across diverse industries.
