GeoInt AI Chatbot Development Internship

About the role

This unpaid, full‑time internship is based in the Enterprise Solutions Service of the Office of Information and Communications Technology (OICT/ESS) at UNESCAP in Bangkok. Over a five‑month period, you will work closely with a staff mentor to develop an AI‑driven geospatial chatbot.

Key responsibilities

• Write and maintain Python and TypeScript code for the chatbot application.
• Integrate AI and GIS services through APIs.
• Deploy, test, and troubleshoot the application in a cloud environment.
• Commit code to Git repositories and participate in weekly sprint meetings.
• Prepare technical documentation and demo the solution to stakeholders.

Required profile

• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team and respect group decisions.
• Strong planning and organizational abilities, including time management and risk awareness.

Required skills

• Python programming.
• TypeScript programming.

• API integration (AI and GIS services).
