Junior Innovation, Data & Communication Contractor

About the role

The Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP) is looking for a Junior Innovation, Data and Communication Contractor to support its corporate innovation agenda. This nine‑month remote contract will help the Innovation Team design, implement and promote innovative practices that enhance ESCAP’s knowledge products, culture and outreach.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in designing and delivering innovation activities, coaching and training programmes focused on Design Thinking and Human‑Centered Design.
• Support ESCAP teams in modernising knowledge products using digital tools to improve user‑centricity and satisfaction.
• Develop and manage communication materials, channels and strategies to boost engagement and outreach.
• Create visibility assets such as flyers, branding elements and videos for the Innovation Team.
• Maintain and enhance a SharePoint page for knowledge management and develop automated workflows using PowerAutomate.
• Prepare, launch and review a seed‑funding exercise for innovative ESCAP projects.
• Contribute to the preparation of the annual ESCAP innovation report and related activities.

Required profile

• Junior‑level professional with a strong interest in innovation and digital transformation.
• Ability to work under the supervision of the Innovation Team and collaborate with various ESCAP divisions.
• Good communication skills and a proactive attitude toward learning new methodologies.
