Lab Assistant – 12‑Month Contract

About the role

BASF SE is seeking a Lab Assistant for a 12‑month fixed‑term contract at its Bangpakong site in Chonburi, Thailand. The role supports product testing, blending and improvement activities for EMU products, responding to sales, marketing and customer requests.

Key responsibilities

• Develop hypotheses, plan and execute experiments under supervisor guidance to generate reproducible data.
• Test, blend and improve EMU products in the laboratory, ensuring accurate measurements and analysis.
• Operate and maintain all laboratory equipment, evaluating results for correctness.
• Apply current technical knowledge to assigned projects and document findings.
• Maintain a safe and efficient work environment in line with plant safety regulations, EHS guidelines, ISO 9001, EFfCI GMP, Halal, RSPO and energy‑management standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in chemistry, industrial & applied chemistry, physical chemistry or a related field.
• 1–3 years of laboratory experience or relevant work experience.
• Ability to understand customer needs and translate them into laboratory work.
• Strong teamwork, communication and collaboration skills in multicultural settings.
• Proficiency in English.
