Service Operation Director (English/Thai)

About the role

Cesna Recruitment is recruiting, on behalf of its client, a Service Operation Director for the exclusive distributor of heavy machinery in Thailand. The client is the third-largest heavy equipment manufacturer in the world and distributes excavators and earth-moving equipment. The position is based in Bang Phli Yai and is full time.

Key responsibilities

• Set up the after-sales system, manage annual budgets and optimize regional standard operating procedures
• Oversee equipment installation, maintenance and technical support while reducing downtime
• Manage spare parts inventory to control costs and drive repair revenue
• Maintain relationships with key clients and resolve major customer complaints
• Expand the nationwide service network and evaluate third-party service providers
• Structure the service team, set KPIs and organize professional training
• Analyze operational data to run cost-reduction programs and management reports

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or higher; preference for mechanical engineering, vehicle engineering, mechatronics, construction machinery or business administration
• 5-10 years of experience managing services in the construction machinery industry
• At least 5 years managing a service department or acting as a service director
• Familiarity with construction machinery such as excavators, loaders, rollers and graders
• Prior experience in a major heavy industry company is a plus

Required skills

• Familiarity with after-sales service systems and operational management for construction machinery
• Proficiency in maintenance management, spare parts management and service network development
• Strong managerial, team leadership, customer relationship management, problem-solving and analytical skills
