Accounting Manager - Ocean Shipping / Logistics

About the role

Cesna Recruitment is hiring an Accounting Manager for a Thai shipping agency branch. The role oversees full-spectrum accounting and finance operations, including freight billing, disbursement accounts and remittance of funds to headquarters in Korea.

Key responsibilities

• Manage freight billing, Disbursement Accounts (D/A), freight collections and remitting funds to HQ in Korea.
• Ensure compliance with Thai tax regulations (VAT, Withholding Tax, Corporate Income Tax) and Bank of Thailand foreign exchange rules.
• Perform monthly, quarterly and annual financial closing and prepare reports for management and HQ.
• Liaise with external legal auditors, tax authorities, banks and government agencies.
• Supervise and guide junior accounting and billing staff.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting or Finance.
• 7+ years of accounting experience, including at least 2-3 years in managerial roles in Shipping Lines, Shipping Agencies or Freight Forwarding.
• CPD license strictly required; CPA is a strong plus.
• Good command of spoken and written English for reporting to HQ.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of Thai tax laws, Revenue Code and international trade accounting standards.
• Proficiency in accounting software/ERP such as SAP, Express or shipping-specific ERPs.
