Business Development Specialist

About the role

Mercer is seeking a Business Development Specialist to join its Wealth Team in Bangkok. This hybrid role requires at least three days per week in the office and focuses on growing the Retirement Business in Thailand.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities within retirement, provident fund, and employee benefits markets.
• Engage prospective clients, understand their needs, and present Mercer’s solutions.
• Maintain a strong network of clients, industry contacts, and business partners.
• Support proposal preparation, client presentations, and business development materials.
• Manage a pipeline of opportunities and contribute to growth targets.
• Build and strengthen relationships with existing clients, serving as a key contact point.
• Assist the Retirement Business Leader with strategy execution, market research, and project management.
• Collaborate across the Retirement team and other business units to deliver high‑quality client solutions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field.
• Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in retirement consulting, employee benefits, asset or wealth management, or financial services.
• Strong understanding of Thailand’s provident fund and retirement landscape.
• Proven track record in business development and client relationship management.
• Existing network within retirement, provident fund, corporate HR, or institutional investment markets is an advantage.
• Excellent communication skills in English and Thai, with ability to engage senior executives.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
