Controls Service Technician 3

About the role

JCI is looking for a Controls Service Technician 3 to maintain the physical conditions and smooth operation of data centres. You will regulate air and water temperature, inspect, maintain and repair data centre components so they meet Service Level Agreements, and work with the site Health & Safety Officer to uphold environmental and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Handle all regional service calls and SLAs, working directly with customers on service requests and maintenance opportunities
• Work with customer operations teams to keep local assets running smoothly
• Report all work done through the system and comply with health and safety standards
• Collaborate with mechanical and electrical operatives or subcontractors as needed
• Share customer information on investments and decision-makers, and build a pipeline of opportunities converted into service orders
• Help grow the after-sales service business and share best practice
• Travel to other countries and locations as required by workload

Required profile

• At least 5 years of mechanical or electrical experience, preferably in commercial, data centre, high-tech, healthcare or manufacturing sectors
• Understanding of electrical and mechanical systems in data centre environments and controls/monitoring systems
• Quick learner, adaptable to new processes, procedures and equipment
• Strong communication skills at all levels, proficiency in English, attention to detail and problem-solving mindset
• Highly organised and proactive
• Able to work flexible hours, including 24/7 emergency call-out cover
