About the role
The Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP) is seeking a proactive intern to support its Environment and Development Division. This full‑time, unpaid position in Bangkok will involve research, policy brief development, and the creation of outreach materials related to climate change, air and water quality, and sustainable ocean management.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct research and data collection for major knowledge products and policy briefs.
- Develop infographics, posters, and interactive presentations on GHG projections and climate scenarios.
- Assist in drafting agendas, background documents, and side‑event materials for conferences and webinars.
- Support the organization of online courses, regional consultations, and climate‑awareness activities.
- Contribute to the preparation of SDG Help Desk resources and other outreach tools.
Required profile
- Enrolled in or completed a graduate programme, or in the final year of a bachelor’s degree, in a field related to environment, development, or climate policy.
- Fluent written and spoken English; knowledge of an additional UN language is an advantage.
- Strong communication skills and ability to draft news articles or social‑media posts.
Required skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Teams.
- Experience using infographic design software and video‑development tools.
