Field Service Engineer - High Voltage Substations

About the role

Hitachi Energy Service, a global provider of asset management solutions, is looking for a new entry-level Field Service Engineer in Samut Prakan, Thailand. The engineer supports customers and partners from installation and commissioning through upgrades, repairs and decommissioning, performing service, maintenance and troubleshooting of low to medium complexity in line with company standards, quality requirements and safety protocols.

Key responsibilities

• Independently carry out service tasks such as installation, commissioning, maintenance, repairs, engineering, consulting, upgrades, retrofits and end-of-life activities.
• Deliver services according to orders and expectations, maintain strong client relationships and identify sales opportunities for internal follow-up.
• Coordinate and verify that materials, parts, tools and equipment are available and meet quality standards, and prepare and manage service documents and reports.
• Diagnose and resolve basic equipment failures, recommend preventive measures and suggest improvements to operations and customer service.
• Apply safety rules and best practices, assess risks and comply with external and internal regulations and procedures.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering.
• 0 to 2 years of hands-on experience with high-voltage substation installation, commissioning or substation services.
• Proven leadership and team management skills, and a solid understanding of safety protocols, operational methods and quality assurance in field service.
• Good in Thai and English.
