Test Engineer - Speaker Products

About the role

HARMAN is looking for a Test Engineer for its speaker products business in Chonburi, Thailand. The role is responsible for handing over new projects and keeping mass-production projects running smoothly in speaker testing.

Key responsibilities

• Work with the advanced team to hand over new projects and with global sites to transfer them to the local site for testing processes and equipment.
• Review product designs for testability requirements and review test equipment and fixture design feedback and lessons learned from earlier phases.
• Support manufacturing with failure analysis, speaker in-process rework, tester debugging, and reducing intermittent failures and downtime of test equipment.
• Collect and analyse test data and continuously improve first-pass yield (FPY) and test coverage.
• Study and create line-of-business applications to support continuous improvement.
• Perform semi-routine technique development and maintenance, including ISO and QS development standards, and provide training in new procedures to production testing staff.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in manufacturing, industry, electronic or mechanical engineering, or equivalent.
• Five years or more of experience as a testing engineer in electronics manufacturing.
• Strong communicator and team builder; good experience in testing.
• Willingness to work overtime and handle variant tasks under pressure during new project launches.

Required skills

• LabVIEW, TestStand, C# or VB programming experience.
• Bonus points: PCB analysis and schematic reading, MSA and CPK analysis, DFM/DFT, automotive standards (VDA, AIAG, ISO/IATF16949), test program development, audio amplifier or RF signal instruments, and leading a new test project.
