Finance Assistant

About the role

The Finance Assistant works in the Payments Unit of the Finance Section, supporting the United Nations Office at Geneva’s financial operations in Bangkok. Reporting to the Chief of Unit, the role ensures timely and compliant processing of payments, travel claims, and inter‑office financial transactions.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in processing organization payments and settlement of staff entitlements.
• Process payment requests for goods and services, ensuring compliance with UN rules, proper documentation, and certification.
• Handle travel claim processing in line with travel authorizations and relevant regulations.
• Review and process outgoing financial authorizations and incoming Inter‑Office Voucher transactions from UNDP country offices, submitting Umoja documents for approval.
• Examine supporting documents of Fund Commitments from other offices for Finance Officer approval.

Required profile
