HVAC Equipment Service Engineer / Technician

About the role

JCI is looking for an HVAC Equipment Service Engineer / Technician to maintain the physical conditions and smooth operation of data centres. You will inspect, maintain and perform preventive maintenance and repairs on data centre components so they meet Service Level Agreements, while working with the site Health & Safety Officer to uphold environmental and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Handle all regional service calls and Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
• Engage directly with customers to fulfil service requests and maintenance opportunities
• Work with customer operations teams to keep local assets running smoothly
• Report all work done through the system
• Work with mechanical and electrical operatives or subcontractors as required
• Ensure all work complies with health and safety standards
• Share customer information on investments and decision-makers, and build a pipeline of opportunities converted into service orders
• Help grow the after-sales service business and share best practice
• Travel to other countries and locations as needed

Required profile

• At least 5 years of mechanical or electrical experience, preferably in commercial, data centre, high-tech, healthcare or manufacturing sectors
• Understanding of electrical and mechanical systems in data centre environments and controls and monitoring systems
• Quick learner, adaptable to new processes, procedures and equipment
• Strong communication skills at all levels, highly organised and proactive
• Ability to work on standby, including 24/7 call-out emergencies
• Proficiency in English; Dutch is an advantage
