Industrial Progress Engineer

About the role

Michelin Asia Pacific (Thailand) is looking for an Industrial Progress Engineer to join its Industrial Engineering team. The role improves manufacturing performance by optimizing resources, strengthening industrial engineering fundamentals and helping teams continuously improve their way of working. It sits within the mission of inspiring motion for life through engineered materials.

Key responsibilities

• Drive productivity and operational improvement by identifying and implementing continuous improvement initiatives.
• Analyze activities, working time, headcount, machine requirements and capacity to optimize resource use.
• Lead change and build continuous improvement capability with operational teams, sharing best practices.
• Identify and implement productivity and performance improvement opportunities.
• Conduct activity analysis, time studies and workload assessments.
• Develop and maintain activity and performance monitoring tools.
• Support the Site/Activity Progress Plan and contribute improvement opportunities.
• Facilitate continuous improvement with cross-functional teams and ensure IE standards and methodologies are applied consistently.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Industrial Engineering, Production Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or a related field.
• Experience or strong knowledge of industrial engineering, manufacturing, productivity improvement or continuous improvement.
• Knowledge of time study, capacity analysis, workforce planning and productivity analysis.
• Strong analytical and structured problem-solving skills.
• Good communication, facilitation and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to collaborate with shopfloor and cross-functional teams.
• Thai and English business proficiency required.

Required skills

• Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, DMAIC or other continuous improvement methodologies (preferred)
• Time study and capacity analysis
