Industrial Progress Engineer

About the role

Michelin Asia Pacific (Thailand) is looking for an Industrial Progress Engineer in Hat Yai to join its Industrial Engineering team. The role improves manufacturing performance by optimising resources, strengthening industrial engineering fundamentals and helping teams continuously improve their way of working.

Key responsibilities

• Drive productivity and operational improvement by identifying and implementing continuous improvement initiatives.
• Analyse activities, working time, headcount, machine requirements and capacity to make sure resources are used effectively.
• Lead change and build continuous improvement capability with operational teams, sharing best practices.
• Identify and implement productivity and performance improvement opportunities.
• Carry out activity analysis, time studies and workload assessments.
• Develop and maintain activity and performance monitoring tools.
• Support the Site/Activity Progress Plan and contribute improvement opportunities.
• Facilitate continuous improvement initiatives with cross-functional teams.
• Ensure industrial engineering standards, methodologies and fundamentals are applied sustainably.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Industrial Engineering, Production Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or a related field.
• Experience or strong knowledge of industrial engineering, manufacturing, productivity improvement or continuous improvement.
• Knowledge of time study, capacity analysis, workforce planning and productivity analysis.
• Strong analytical and structured problem-solving skills.
• Good communication, facilitation and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to collaborate with shopfloor and cross-functional teams.
• Proficiency in Thai and English.

Required skills

• Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, DMAIC or other continuous improvement methodologies (preferred)
• Time study and capacity analysis
