Lead Software Engineer (C++)

About the role

Join LSEG's new Real‑Time Team in Bangkok as a founding Lead Software Engineer. You will shape the team culture and drive the development of high‑performance, low‑latency network solutions for market data processing.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and test C++ modules, including build scripts, unit, integration and performance testing.
• Participate in code and design reviews, and contribute to technical documentation and configuration management.
• Collaborate with QA, product owners and US‑based teams to deliver and maintain reliable software.
• Mentor junior and mid‑level engineers as the team grows.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of professional software development experience.
• Strong understanding of performance implications of C++ libraries and ability to choose between third‑party and custom implementations.
• Experience working in multi‑threaded environments on Linux.
• Ability to work partially in US business hours.

Required skills

• C++ (including STL, C++11+)
• Linux command line, Makefile and CMake build systems
• Network programming (sockets, TCP/IP, UDP, multicast)
• POSIX APIs for threading, I/O multiplexing and signal handling
