Mechanical Engineer – Building Services (BIM)

About the role

Aurecon is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join its Built Environment team in Bangkok. You will help bring ideas to life on complex building and infrastructure projects by designing mechanical and plumbing systems and delivering BIM models.

Key responsibilities

• Design mechanical and plumbing systems using Revit and maintain BIM models.
• Prepare detailed Revit models and calculations for HVAC and building services.
• Develop and publish construction documentation to meet project schedules.
• Update existing models and documents as project requirements evolve.
• Create and maintain regional BIM templates.
• Participate in coordination meetings for clash detection and resolution.
• Support information exchange between internal and external stakeholders.
• Provide coordination assistance during construction phases.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 5‑6 years of experience designing HVAC and building services systems.
• Basic knowledge of design modelling, drawing production, and construction practices.
• Willingness to continuously learn new BIM tools and best practices.

• Revit (BIM modeling).

• Familiarity with BIMForum LOD Specification, AIA and NBIMS standards.
