Quality Senior Lab Supervisor

About the role

Reporting to the Quality Manager, the Quality Senior Lab Supervisor leads daily laboratory operations covering raw materials, in-process and finished products. The position is based in Thailand.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily lab testing so it follows established standards, procedures and work instructions
• Verify test results and approve lab records and reports
• Manage equipment calibration, maintenance and verification
• Run quality testing of raw materials, semi-finished and finished products against national, international and customer standards
• Prepare monthly quality reports, analyse trends and KPIs and present findings to management
• Lead root cause analysis of quality issues, non-conformities and customer complaints (5 Why, Fishbone, Pareto, CAPA)
• Coordinate corrective actions with Production, Technical, Purchasing and Supply Chain
• Support new raw material evaluation, supplier qualification, trials and process validation
• Coordinate third-party laboratories and certification bodies, including testing contracts
• Support ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and FSC systems, including internal and external audits

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Chemistry, Materials Science or a related field
• 3-5+ years in QA/QC or laboratory management within manufacturing
• Leadership experience managing technicians or inspectors
• Good command of English (reading, writing and speaking)

Required skills

• Hands-on knowledge of lab testing methods and calibration systems
• Working knowledge of ISO 9001; exposure to ISO 14001, ISO 45001 or FSC Chain of Custody is an advantage
• Practical experience with SPC, root cause analysis and CAPA
• Strong data analysis and reporting in Excel; Power BI is a plus
