Senior Security Engineer – Cloud & Platform (Bangkok, Relocation)

About the role

Agoda is looking for a hands‑on Senior Security Engineer to protect its cloud and platform environments. The role is based in Bangkok with relocation support and works closely with engineering teams to embed security into every layer of the stack.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and manage secure cloud deployments on AWS and GCP using Terraform.
• Deploy and operate internal and third‑party security solutions within Kubernetes clusters via GitOps tools such as Argo CD, Flux and Helm.
• Develop custom security tooling and services in Go and TypeScript, and automate tasks with Python where needed.
• Identify, analyze and remediate cloud misconfigurations and provide architecture guidance to engineering teams.
• Create and tune cloud‑native detection rules and alerting pipelines for suspicious activity across cloud and container workloads.
• Collaborate with product and engineering groups to embed security controls early in the development lifecycle.

Required profile

• 8+ years of experience in security engineering, cloud security or platform engineering.
• Proven hands‑on experience securing production workloads on AWS and GCP.
• Strong background in Infrastructure as Code, especially Terraform, and Kubernetes security.
• Solid programming skills in Go and TypeScript; Python for automation is a plus.
